We are looking forward to seeing you at the XVth International Palynological Congress and XIth International Organization of Palaeobotany Congress at the Clarion Conference Hotel, Prague, Czech Republic in a few days. The event starts already on Monday, 27 May 2024.

To make your arrival at the venue smooth and help you get everything ready for the registration badge pick-up and the conference itself, please find some practical information below. Please read the following points carefully.

The venue is located 30 minutes by car from the International Václav Havel Airport and 10 minutes by metro from the historic city center of Prague, directly on the metro B line, station “Vysočanská”.

The registration desk is located on the 3rd floor of the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague.

All registered delegates will receive a separate email with a unique QR code by Friday, 24 May. You will be asked to scan the provided QR code at a dedicated kiosk upon your arrival at the registration area. Scanning the QR code will enable you to pick up your conference badge and other materials.

Delegates who have not yet settled the registration fee in full will be asked to pay their dues before badge pick-up. The registration desk accepts credit / debit cards (Visa, MasterCard) or cash (EUR only).

Please note that all participants are required to wear their badges at all times when attending conference sessions and official conference events.

In case of badge loss, please contact the registration desk at Queries. The emission of a new badge is subject to a 10 EUR administration fee. It will not be possible to enter the conference without a valid badge.


The participant registration fee (excluding accompanying person fee) includes:

  • Admission to all sessions
  • Access to the exhibition area
  • Conference materials (conference bag, printed programme book, access to online abstract book)
  • Refreshment during coffee breaks, lunches
  • Admission to Ice Breaker Party
  • Public transportation ticket valid from Monday 27 May to Friday 31 May


Accompanying persons

The accompanying person fee includes:

  • Access to Ice-breaker Party
  • General Tour of Prague on Thursday 30 May 2024

A separate email with detailed information regarding their tour is to be provided to the . Please note these instructions will be provided to the email address of the delegate whose registration is associated with the accompanying person.

Speakers’ Ready Room

All presentations must be handed over to the Speaker’s Ready Room (room QUADRANT) no later than two hours before the beginning of the corresponding session. Presentations will be automatically available in the corresponding lecture rooms.

We would like to remind you the possibility of uploading your presentation for the IPC-IOPC 2024 Conference via the conference online platform which will be available until Sunday 26 May 2024.

Please note that an already approved file cannot be uploaded again; reuploads must be done in the Speakers’ Ready Room on-site in Prague.

The poster area will be located in the Conference Foyer and will be open for poster mounting from Monday, 27 May, 15:00-18:00.​

Posters should be set up ideally no later than the Welcome/Opening Ceremony (Tuesday, 28 May, at 8:30) and remain in place for the duration of the conference.


Workshops & Nomenclatural Colloquium

All participants signed up for workshops will receive a separate email dedicated to their participation and location travel information.​ Please note these events are taking place before the start of the official registration, so you will most likely be asked for identification onsite.

The participants signed up for field trips will receive a separate email with more information.

All field trips are fully booked; no on-site bookings are available.

On Friday, 31 May, free admission to the below museum expositions is available for all registered conference delegates within the stated opening times.
The conference badge must be presented in each museum to be eligible for free admission.

Certificate of Attendance 

All registered participants present on-site are entitled to receive a Certificate of Attendance. The certificate can be downloaded from the Online Portal after the event.
